About Us

United Girls' Choir (UGC) provides life-changing music education and performance opportunities for singers ages 5-18. Over the past two decades, the program has given thousands of choristers in Connecticut the chance to sing for joy, develop confidence and leadership skills, and build lifelong friendships in a safe, supportive environment.

UGC has chapters based in North Haven, Branford / New Haven, and Bridgeport, and expansion into other regions of the state is currently underway. Most ensembles rehearse once per week during the school year and perform in five or six local concerts in a typical season, including our spectacular annual spring gala performance. Some advanced divisions of UGC rehearse and perform more often and include regular appearances with professional orchestras and optional domestic and international concert tours. Our annual summer camps are open to all members of United Girls’ Choir and other auditioned singers from Connecticut and beyond.

A division of United Choir School, UGC is affiliated with the acclaimed Elm City Girls' Choir and ChoralKeys, a unique program offering online music courses and group lessons. At United Choir School, students and faculty collaborate as colleagues to maintain a culture of kindness, integrity, trust, and respect while seeking to empower every member of the community to realize their full musical and personal potential!

About

The United Girls Choir shaped my daughter's life into the young woman that she has become. The camaraderie that the sisterhood carries is overwhelming!
